Editing and Published Work

As an editor, I aim to make the author’s voice as clear and powerful as possible. As an author, I write poetry, articles, short stories, and songs.

Besides Copywriting, I’ve worked as an editor and have published personal work.

Out of the Many One: A Book on Diversity and Unity

I acted as the acquisition editor of the anthology of Out of the Many One (OM1). In this my roles included: instigating OM1 in February 2017, coordinating 40+ authors and artists who have presented their work in book format, successfully editing each text and reviewed edits with authors to elevate each text to its greatest potential, and engaging with and secured a publisher for the book. I also sourced all references in proper APA format.

Letters from Tony: Reasons for Hope

I edited the entire manuscript and worked with the author to create clear essays free of grammatical mistakes, consistent tone and voice throughout book, formatting changes, and proper referencing of sources in APA format.

Statue of Aristotle at Oxford Museum

My sonnet was published in the 2017 edition of the Sigma Tau Delta Rectangle (page 24). Here is the poem in its entirety:

An opulent forehead, wrinkles chiseled in stone.
The Greek’s grey eyes veer over an etched form
of a strong nose. Below, lips bend like a bow,
pregnant with words, like clouds before a storm.
The T-Rex’s jaws spread wide in endless babble.
Silent as the desert; archeologists discovered
his hindquarters beneath oil drums and gravel.
Now his six claws hang over heads at Oxford.
Visitors brush tired hands across the carved
name of Aristotle, his sandals frozen
and cloak ruffled, but left normal, unscarred.
While disciples flock to the archaic hen,
where kids pet the Rex’s petrified talons,
hoping for one roar, one growl of ancient wisdom.
