I wrote a sample theme-song for Marinela USA and recorded it with Legion Advertising and Deaf Mule. It is in Spanish and English, and the lyrics express the struggles and joys of Hispanic Americans living within two cultures and languages.
EL RITMO
CHORUS:
El ritmo lives in me
El amor lives in me
I look around all I see
My home my family
VERSE 1:
Ayer, estaba en casa
Eschuche dos idomas
Fui cuarto y pensaba
¿Cuales la lengua de mi alma?
Así, así lo sentí
Dos ritmos viven en mi
And they play in harmony
I’m proud of my family
CHORUS x 1
VERSE 2:
Felt a beating in my heart that I didn’t know
Something hidden deep within my soul
I was scared to let it show
But a taste of it made me let go
Now I’m not afraid of who I am
This beat lives in me, so I take a stand
Ain’t nobody judge my heritage
I’m proud of who I am
CHORUS x 1
BRIDGE:
El ritmo lo sentí
El amor lo sentí
The world I love is in me
El ritmo lo sentí
El amor lo sentí
Amo el mundo que vive en me
CHORUS x 1

ARKH contracted me to write an overlaying lyrics for their 2020 product-launch video. The lyrics were a cover of X Ambassador’s song, “BOOM.” Ultimately, the lyrics were approved, but ARKH decided to not use a voice over in the video. See my lyrics and ARKH’s YouTube video below.
The future’s coming soon, coming soon, coming soon
Right here in my room
An alternate world to view
Opening for you
Let’s share something new
